New members and visitors are always welcome. You don't have to make jam, sing Jerusalem and do quilting, honestly!

A Sussex Farm during the 1950s
Ian Everest will talk about a year in the life of a downland farm. The talk is based on an original 16mm cine film.
14 February
Camouflage in the Animal World
Having travelled extensively in the Far East, Raymond Hale has some great photos of animals in their natural environment, illustrating how they have to adapt to survive.
13 March
The Changing Faces of Women as seen in Female Royals
David Bryer will explain how the influence of the monarchy on society is well known but that it's a two-way street especially in recent times where people have shaped royalty, particularly female royals.
10 April
The Benefits of Tai Chi
George Rose, with the help of audience participation, will try to convince us that fifteen minutes a day keeps the doctor away!

Resolutions
We will meet to discuss and vote on the resolutions that will go forward to the National Federation for adoption.

Roots and Wings
Drawing inspiration from her grandmother's poverty-stricken
childhood in rural Ireland, Claire Carpenter's uplifting talk will look at the two bequests that we give our children, roots and wings.

Filming a TV Drama Series
John Vine will tell us about the reality and humour of being an actor, as opposed to the way the media portrays it!

Kate Tym will tell the fascinating story of one family's act of resistance in Nazi Germany, in a way that is thought provoking,humorous and moving by turns.

A Policeman's Lot - can be quite an interesting one
When is a bomb not a bomb?, the rise of Robocop, the very expensive sleep-over and other funny incidents told from the perspective of Neil Sadler, a recently retired police officer.

Christmas Supper, followed by an illustrated talk with
songs, music and reading on the folklore of Sussex at Christmas and associated customs by Mick Lynn and Geoff Doel.
