Where we meet
Reading Room, Church Road, Buxted, TN22 4LL
When to come along
1st Thursday of every month at 2.15 pm, normally preceded at 1.45 by a short session of "Movement to Music".
What we do
We are a friendly group of ladies from in and around Buxted. We currently have approximately 50 members, with our membership growing during the last few months.
During our monthly meeting we usually have two competitions: 1) please see the 2012 programme for details, 2) “Flower of the Month” – members vote for their choice by placing a coin by their chosen flower entry. Proceeds go to ACWW.
We also have a Craft Group which usually meets every 2nd Wednesday morning 10 – 12; a Garden Group which usually meets every 4th Wednesday morning 10.30 – 12.30, (no meetings during the winter months); and a Book Group which usually meets every 3rd Thursday afternoon 2.30 – 4.30.
We are part of the Uckfield WI group and meet with this wider group every Spring and Autumn.
We occasionally also organise outings, and participate in recreational pursuits such as mah jong and whist.
We always welcome visitors and new members.
