Buckingham Palace day trip with Hailsham "Nightingales" W.I...1st October 2011. On the hottest day of 2011, our group of 8 had a wonderful day at the Palace. The Palace tour included speaking headsets which were invaluable as we went from sumptuous room to room. After roughly 2 hours in the Palace we certainly needed our cream teas ....taken on the terrace at the rear of the familiar building we all know well. We arrived home tired but very satisfied after a great day in the capital.

Photographs taken at our last meeting when the theme was the Chelsea flower show and some of our ladies decorated hats. We also had a talk on flower arranging and then a buffet supper which we all contributed to, the evening finished off with a quiz on flowers. Great fun was had by all and we can’t wait for the next meeting.
