Mayfield Evening WI secures two firsts!

The Mayfield Evening WI won the best Walking Group Cup at the Mayfield Carnival, along with £20.
Their theme “WI keeps abreast of the times” worked very well, especially the costumes, which consisted of the decorated bras and sunflowers.
Member’s children wore tee-shirts with some of the WI resolutions written on them.

Rachel Chattle for all her hard work in bring the group together and holding bra decorating sessions!
Tania Eccleshall for designing and making the walking group banner, which was proudly held by Janet Banham.
Toni Whewell for securing all those free bras.
The East Sussex Federation of WIs who inspired the decorated bras theme with the Ardingly show entry!!

During the day the cake stall was also a great success, raising £117.35 in the process and winning the Best Dressed Stall Cup with prize money of £5.00.
