About Us

We started our group about a year ago and have tried to make our programme appeal to all. We are a very small WI at present and welcome new members. We are always open to new ideas too.

What we do

This year so far we have had an interesting talk from a villager entitled “Nutley boy goes to Buckingham Palace”. In February we are holding a scrabble, upword and boggle evening, March we are welcoming Bobby Schuck, the owner of the Llama Park. In April one of our members is telling us about her LONG LOST FAMILY, May we have the Ashdown Forest Research Group. Hopefully the weather will be kind to us as we will commence our Forest Walk at 6.45 in Pylons Car Park and then go onto the Foresters Arms in Fairwarp.

One of our members is hosting supper at her home in Nutley in July at 6.45pm. We will each bring a dish to share….

We will hear about “THE OTHER PERU” in August and have a representative of OPERATION SMILE talking about the amazing work the Charity does to improve the lives of those born with a cleft palate in deprived countries in September. In October the local Community First Responders who will be telling us about their vital work including CPR training, and November sees our A G M and afterwards members will bring something special they would like to tell us about.

We get creative for Christmas in December with the help of mulled wine and nibbles.

Perhaps a member from another W I would like company at Sarah Raven`s open garden in September. Some of us will be going so they could meet up with us if they wanted to…… We will arrive there about 10.15am
