At this workshop you will learn the basic crochet stitches needed to create a grannie square. Once you are confident with this you will progress on to creating a beautiful flower brooch.
This workshop will suit absolute beginners or rusty returners.
We will be using 4mm crochet hooks and double knit yarn. You can bring your own hook and yarn, or purchase these on the day. The hooks will be £1.30 each and the yarn on sale will be Stylecraft Special DK at £1.95 per 100g ball, a wide variety of colours will be available to choose from. Both the grannie square and the brooch are excellent ‘stash busters’ so do bring along any amounts of DK yarn you might have at home.
Course fee is £25 (non-members £30) which will include tea, coffee and biscuits. Please bring your own packed lunch. Please email email@example.com with any enquires.
Bookings will open for WI members on Tuesday 6th March. Open to non-members from Tuesday 20th March with a closing date of Tuesday 4th April. Application Form
Bookings will be taken in order of receipt after the opening date until full.
