Where we meet
Village Hall, Bodle Street Green, BN27 4RE
When to come along
2nd Tuesday of every month at 2.30pm
Visitors are always welcome, just turn up slightly before 2.30pm and enjoy our speaker, tea and short meeting.
Our WI was founded in 1923 and currently has 17 members. We are a traditional, informal, friendly village WI.
What we do
At our meetings we generally have an interesting speaker, tea including sandwiches and homemade cake, followed by a short meeting where members are reminded about events, workshops and outings.
Some speakers this year include: The Starfish project, Journey through Indonesia and Notorious women of Sussex.
Our WI has regular lunches, a craft group, walks and occasional visits to concerts.
Several members attend workshops and outings organized by ESFWI. These have included making Christmas decorations, willow weaving, making natural cosmetics, microwave cooking, cooking with chocolate and visits to places of interest in London.
We fundraise so as to be able to afford interesting speakers by providing lunches and cream teas for local organizations.
We were proud to host one of the East Sussex centenary tea parties and for our craft group to be making a quilt for a local charity.
