About us and what we do
New members and visitors are always welcome.
As a very active group of about 88 members our activities are varied. We have a number of sub groups who meet up once or twice a month – consisting of such topics as craft, poetry, digital, needlecraft, gardening and singing. If you don’t want to be creative, we also have lunch club, coffee and chat, friendship and book club. If there is something that you should want to do, we are also open to other suggestions.
Our programme of speakers is very informative and interesting with speakers talking on such matters local to us and of national interest, with the occasional musical entertainment which is fun.
We also organise fundraising events for WI charities and other local charities that we might benefit from such as Kent, Sussex & Surrey Air Ambulance and St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
Many of the events are of a social, fun and interactive nature and enjoyed by many of our members. Not to forget plenty of tea and cake!
