About Us and what we do
Peacehaven WI was started in 1923 and we have some members who have been coming for over 46 years. At our monthly meeting we usually have a speaker and twice a year enjoy a ploughman’s lunch. In May to celebrate our birthday party we have a sit down meal and entertainment.
During the year we have at least three outings and one holiday. We have had holidays in Bournemouth, Weymouth, South Wales, Ilfracombe and a cruise up the Rhine and Danube. We have seen shows in London and local Theatres. Every other month a group of ladies have started a walking group, usually locally to include coffee and lunch.
Outings recently have include Eltham Palace, Lullingstone Castle, Denbies Vineyard, Warners Sinah Warren at Xmas and Hampton Court.
Mahjong is enjoyed once a week by a few ladies where instruction is available.
Three times a year we hold coffee mornings to promote our W.I.
Bursaries are awarded yearly to enable members to participate in a variety of educational courses .
New members and visitors are always welcome.
